After you have added a Dynadot domain to a Mailreef server, you will need to configure 4 DNS records under the DNS zone of your domain in order to fully connect it to your server.
To add a Dynadot domain, please follow these steps.
Log into your DynaDot account, navigate to "My Domains", and then click on the "Manage Domains" tab under this dropdown menu. Click on the domain under your Dynadot account that you would like to connect to your Mailreef server
Under the Settings section of your domain, you will need to add your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to the "Dynadot DNS" section of this page, and you will add your domains MX Record to the "MX Record" section of this page.
Under the Dynadot DNS Page, add your SPF, DKIM and DMARC record as seen below.
- For your SPF record, you would add this as a TXT record under the Domain Record section
- For your DKIM Record, use "mail._domainkey" as your subdomain value, and use the DKIM value found under your Mailreef account for your IP Address / Destination
- For your DMARC Record, use "_dmarc" as your subdomain value, and use the DMARC value found under your Mailreef account for your IP Address / Destination. For your MX Record value, click into the MX Record section under your domains Dynadot page and enter in your record as seen below.
Once these records have been added successfully, click on "Recheck DNS" under the domain page under your Mailreef Dashboard to fully connect it to your account.
To note: DNS can sometimes take a few minutes to fully update so if these records are not picked up right away, double check that you have added these records correctly and check again in 5 minutes.
For any issues with configuration, please contact support and we'd be happy to assist.
